Recently, the School of Life Science and Technology held 2020 China Pharmaceutical University Academic Week reports in A104 and E105. The reports were hosted by Professor Wang Chen, Dean of the School of Life Science and Technology and Professor Mo Ran, Vice Dean. Professor Guo Deyin from Sun Yat-sen University and Professor Wu Mian from the Translational Research Center of People's Hospital of Zhengzhou University were invited to give lectures. More than 60 teachers and students attended the reports.
On December 8, Professor Guo Deyin, the winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund and Dean of the School of Medicine of Sun Yat-Sen University, delivered the report entitled "New Coronavirus Biological Characteristics and Antiviral Drug Development", which mainly introduced the basic research of coronavirus research progress and how it guides the development of antiviral drugs, systematically elaborated basic research, drug development, theoretical exploration and clinical application.
On December 9, Professor Wu Mian, the winner of the Hundred Talents Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered the report entitled "Long Non-coding RNA Use Liquid-liquid Separation to Inhibit mRNA Translation", introducing how long non-coding RNA (IncRNA) inhibits the translation of glutaminase mRNA to regulate cell proliferation under the condition of aminoamide deletion. In the Q&A session, Professor Guo Deyin and Professor Wu Mian had in-depth discussion with the teachers and students regarding the content of the reports.
