On June 14, School of International Education held a graduation party for departing students.This event was aimed at reflecting on the years spent in China and in the university and to honor both teachers and students who have done tremendously well over the past years.The party was hosted by Kesse, a final year master student and Melissa, a bachelor student.
Before the event, graduating students dressed up and walked along the red carpet.
The program was kicked off by the vice dean of the School of International Education, Mr. QIU Mingming. Mr. QIU expressed his appreciation to all graduating students and wished everyone the best of luck in our next walk of life.
Professors and lecturers also took part in the party including Prof. ZHANG Yubin, Prof. DU Ding, Prof. LUO Chen, Prof. SHI Zhixiang, Prof. ZHOU Qian, Dr. HUANG Yiwei, Dr. CHEN Rong, Dr. Dramou Pierre and Dr. Raphael.
A standing ovation was observed for all the teachers and distinguished guests present. Several performances were done including dance acts, poetry recitation, drumming and dancing together with a couple of games, which made the party interesting and joyful.
A speech was delivered by Professor ZHANG Yubin, a biochemistry lecturer on behalf of all the teachers and he expressed joy and congratulated every graduating student and urged them to honor the school motto.
Speech was also given by three students with Miss Doysuree Kushmita representing the Bachelors Students, Miss Sarah Ama Baidoo representing the Masters students and Miss Pyone Myat as the PhD representative.
To encourage the teachers, an award ceremony for the most popular teachers for international students was held during the party. The most popular teacher for international students awards go to Prof. ZHANG Yubin, Prof. DU Ding, Prof. LUO Chen, Prof. CHEN Shu, Prof LI Bo, Prof. SHI Zhixiang, Prof. ZHOU Qian, Dr. HUANG Yiwei, Dr. CHEN Rong, Dr. Dramou Pierre and Dr. Raphael.
